Looking ahead, I have many personal and professional goals that I hope to accomplish over the next several years. My first priority is successfully completing my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in May 2028. Earning my degree will represent years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance while balancing college, work, and family responsibilities.
After graduation, I plan to continue my career with the Wayne County School District, where I currently work as a Teacher Assistant. Working in the district has allowed me to become familiar with the students, faculty, and community, and I would be honored to return as a certified elementary classroom teacher. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day. I hope to inspire confidence, encourage curiosity, and help every student reach their full potential.
Although my bachelor’s degree is my immediate goal, I also plan to continue my education in the future. I believe that great teachers never stop learning. Whether through graduate studies, professional development opportunities, or specialized certifications, I want to continue improving my teaching skills and staying current with new educational research and instructional strategies. Continuing my education will allow me to better meet the diverse needs of my future students and become a stronger educator.
In addition to my professional goals, I also want to prioritize spending quality time with my children. One of my biggest dreams is to travel with them and experience new places together. Traveling will not only strengthen our family relationships but also expose my children to different cultures, communities, and experiences that broaden their understanding of the world.
As I continue this journey, I hope to inspire my children by showing them that hard work, determination, and perseverance can help make any dream possible. I am excited about what the future holds and look forward to making a positive difference in the lives of my students while continuing to grow as an educator, a mother, and a lifelong learner.
